I have Compaq computer and recently I have changed hard drive. After formatting and installation windows on my hard, I faced the fact that my bios see only 24 GB instead 60 GB of hard disk. I could not force the bios to recognize it properly, so I have bought and install hard disk controller. After that my hard drive is not recognized at all. How to fix this?

You said Compaq? That would be a problem. I know what to do with normal computers, but for Compaq I can just guessing. Try to upgrade your bios, because if you do that, bios should see completely capacity of your hard disk, so you wont need disk controller which, I am positive sure, caused this problem.
