Hello but not hello. Because I have Toshiba Laptop with dead hard drive inside. That happened few hours a go. I thought that it was something else, some power cord, because there was no clicking sound or anything else before that happened. Some cable, perhaps I don’t know, but it seems that hard drive is done with it’s life for good. Now I am wondering my self is my notebook requiring some special slim hard drive model or I can take any 2,5” into consideration? Thanks in advance.

Greetings. Well, you are lucky I guess, because you can put any 2,5” slim ATA100 hard drive into your machine. I don’t know how does Toshiba reacts in cases such as yours, you can call them and check that out, if your laptop is still under warranty. Anyway, if you have no other option but to replace the drive on your own, my suggestion is CDW or ZipZoomFLy. Seagate in every case. You’ll need around 64 bucks for 40 gigs I think.
