I have been doing some work on my home computer in the last five months. Therefore, I have some really important data on it. Those data are very big so I cannot place it on DVD disks. I had a problem with my hard drive a year ago with loosing data. In the last couple of days, my HDD detected size is incorrect. That is why I want to make a backup copy of my hard drive. How can I do that?

If you already had the loosing data problems with your hard drive in the past and you have some new problems now, then you will have to make a backup copy as soon as possible. The most popular software for that is Norton ghost. You can use that software for that and it is really efficient and fast. However, if I were you, I would not use that software without strong experience. You could do just the opposite from saving the data. That software could kill your data so bad that nobody could restore those. Therefore, try to find somebody that has experience with Norton ghost and ask him to explain you the possibilities and danger. If I were you, I would do a simple copy of all the data on another USB hard drive. That would be the only way that I could be sure that I copy everything I need.
