Greetings. I don’t know how hard really is to perform a disc cloning procedure, because I never did that so far, but now it’s unavoidable, therefore I need some assistance with this. I tried to use simple copy/paste method, because I didn’t saw option for cloning inside windows backup utility. Copy/paste method didn’t succeeded anyway, some system files are protected I guess. Anyway, what is the most used program for this? Thanks in advance.

The most used programs for cloning today as for as I know are Acronis True Image and Norton Ghost. Norton Ghost is far more older than Acronis is, but also still very used. Some people are speaking very bad things of Norton Ghost, because Norton Ghost does not handle Serial ATA drives quite well. Acronis does. Both of them do their job nice, so you can choose Ghost if you are using parallel ATA hard disk drive.
