Hello. I want to perform complete hard drive backup for the first time. Now, as this will be my first operation of this kind, I need few advices. Which program should I use to make image file of the entire system? There are plenty of those to choose from. And is there a chance to permanently damage the source drive during the backup procedure? Thanks in advance.

There is no chance to damage the drive, because that drive just reads the data. You don’t know which one you should choose to work with? Well, all I can say is that you should consider Acronis as the best choice. At least I never had any problems regarding this program and the way it behaves with the hard drive structure. Its wizard is so damn well organized and I believe that you will not have any difficulties to determine which options you should use.
