After trying to install some support software for a USB camera, I can no longer boot into system! It tries to boot, then hands me some unclear message about the hard drive not being accessible, freezes, and I have to power it off. But the HDD is apparently OK, because I can boot into Safe Mode. The thing is, I don't know what to do in Safe Mode to repair the situation. Any help?

Which version of Win XP do you have, Home or Pro? If it's Home, you're shit out of luck, sorry. If it's Pro, you can do a system restore after you boot into safe mode. Go to the Control Panel, then choose System, then click the System Restore tab. It should be fairly self-explanatory from here.
