Hi folks! I have very good configuration, with Win 2000 installed. Components are very quality, although something is not working. Or maybe it is the software. System often gets stuck, and I have to reboot my windows. While I am watching video files, movies, tv shows, picture gets really funny, like in 10 fps. My memory is 512 MB, so it couldnt be lack of memory. My processor is working on 2 Ghz, so that too cannot be the problem. What I m trying to do is repair my pc, without reinstalling everything. Is that possible with my present situation?

It could be a lot of things. Codecs, for example. Which codecs do you have installed, litecodec pack or something different. You can find this information in control panel-video option. There, you will find complete list of installed codec, drivers and plug-ins for your graphic card. Litecodec pack can be uninstalled very easily by going to control panel-add remove programs option. Just like uninstalling any piece of the software, click remove and restart your machine. Other solution would be to check you system video settings. Check if there is something strange there, like, if you accidentally changed some of the settings. System could get stuck due to the virus, overclock, bad cooling system or some malicious piece of software. If you are using an antivirus software try to disable it for a moment, and see if there would be any changes. Update your virus database at least once a week. Be sure that your case is getting enough air flow.
