Good software for testing memory?

I think I have problem with memory. System crashes from time to time without any obvious pattern. Before I replace RAM I would like to test it to see if I am right. I have heard about software for testing memory but I do not know which one is reliable enough to be trusted. Can you recommend me one program?

There are many memory testing utilities. Most of them are reliable but also none is perfect. I had best experience with GoldMem program. This software checks memory very thoroughly and seldom mistakes. Good thing is you can make bootable disc with it and ran it before windows starts up. This is good option because memory is almost empty then so it can be checked with more accuracy.
