Good harware Firewall recommendation

Hello! I have cable internet and I have heard that I will be better protected if I get hardware firewall. Regarding the fact that I am not some kind of expert in this field, I kindly ask you to recommend me some really good hardware firewall. Also, can you explain me what kind of device hardware firewall is?

Hello! I will start with your second question. Hardware firewall is actually router. So, you need to buy router and attach it to your computer and cable modem. Router is called firewall because it also can block ports as personal firewall. I can tell you that you will not make mistake if you buy Linksys, Belkin or D-Link router.
