Good free backup software

I am looking for good free backup software. I know that Windows has integrated back up utility but it does not fit my needs. I have two hard drives in computer (on with 40GB and other with 160GB). I would like to make a backup of these drives to external 240GB hard drive. The problem is I would like to make exact copy of data form these two hard drives. Is there any program that can make this?

If I understand correctly you need something like Norton Ghost or Acronis TrueImage. These programs are not free but they do exactly what you asked for. I have to say that there is a difference between data backup (like storing data on another media to make it available if hard drive fails) and making an image of operating system. Unfortunately, I do not know of any free software that can do what you are asking.
