Hello, I'm looking for a good provider of hosting services, and was hoping you could recommend some? Storage capacity and support are my primary concerns, the price comes second. Also, there are a couple of small local providers, but I've been warned to avoid them because they'll just outsource to a big one and charge me additionally for it, am I right here? Thanks, and my apologies if this isn't an appropriate kind of question.

You've heard right, just cut out the middleman and go to a serious provider on your own. I recommend Dreamhost, since it provides very decent service and still doesn't charge too much. One ore thing to keep in mind is this: Try to keep your hosting separate from your domain name registration. I know a lot of people who had their domains locked up when they left their host for another, which is always a bother.
