I am looking for good sound recorder. I have just found out that the Windows Sound Recorder will not work if computer has more then 2GB RAM. It is completely weird but it gives you an error about not having enough memory to complete operation. According to Microsoft there is no solution for this problem, yet. However I would like you to recommend me some good alternative for this Microsoft product.

Hello. This is really one of the best things I have heard recently. Such bugs never stop to amaze me. There are several good programs on the market that can record sound. One of the best professional tools is SoundForge but I think you do not need it. Other, freeware, options are Audacity, Audio Record Wizard, Total Recorder and Goldwave.
