Getting Outlook to import .dbx files

I have years of mail conversation and many contacts stored in Outlook Express but I am forced now to switch to Outlook. Of course, I would like to keep all of this and to import data into Outlook. I have tried to import .dbx file to Outlook but I was not able to accomplish this. I even could not find an option for this action. Can you tell me how to do this?

Outlook can not import .dbx files directly. However this sounds odd, considering that Microsoft created both programs, Outlook Express and Outlook have very different way of storing data and different organization of data. To have all your conversation and contacts imported in Outlook you will have to export data from Outlook Express to Outlook directly or to import data in Outlook directly from Outlook Express. There is no need, nor reason, to use .dbx file for this.
