I have installed Norton Antivirus 2007 and regretted soon after. It is a real resource hog and it completely slows down my computer. Even when I disable it it has some process lurking in behind and using RAM. Worst of all, it left many files and processes after I tried to uninstall it. Is there any way I can get rid of this antivirus?

Norton products are notorious when it comes to resource usage and uninstalling. Luckily, they are aware of this second issue so they provided a tool for uninstalling their products. You will have to download this tool from their web site and uninstall any Norton program using this tool and not Add/Remove programs from Windows Control Panel.
