Hi, all. I recently switched an old nVidia card for a slightly improved version (the GF5600 ultra mentioned above), and it seems like it wasn't such a hot idea after all. With this new card, I can't seem to boot into windows (XP, pro edition) at all, safe mode or not, but when I plug the old one in, everything boots OK. What gives?

I'd put my money on a driver conflict issue here. What you do is this: Start up with your old card, preferably in safe mode. Now, remove all video-related drivers for the old card and the new one. You should be prompted for restart somewhere along the way. Shot down, remove old card, insert new card, install drivers for new card.
