I was reading an old review of this card that I'm considering (hey, I like to be an informed shopper, even if it's only e-bay), and I was surprised to hear that this card is overclocked. How is it possible to have it overclocked by default, at production? Isn't overclocking something that users do when they want to boost the performance? And besides, I thought only motherboards could be overclocked? Or maybe I'm just not that well informed … ion any case, some clarification would be nice, thanks.

Overclocking is everywhere, baby Yes, most people do it for the boards (to speed up the CPU), but almost as often video cards get overclocked as well – they don't call them accelerators for no reason, you know. I don't know that card you mention, but I know some GF were OCs straight out of the box, just given a little boost. It's not advertised often, but it's done sometimes. I wouldn't really worry about it, because they'll have paid attention to the cooling.
