I have this Gateway 2500 XL computer for a long time and I had no problems with it since. Operating system had some problem recently and I had to reinstall it. I placed restoration disk in CD ROM and found out that restoration disk is not working any more. Is there some possibility I can reinstall my system without this restoration disk?

It is possible to reinstall system on Gateway 2500 XL without restoration disk. You need copy of Windows operating system and drivers that you can download from gateway web site. Just go to their web site and enter your product number or search for model and you will find all drivers you need. You may be even able to download whole restoration disk image if you are lucky.
