I had some issues with an old Radeon video card that I used to have, so I replaced it with a GeForce 7600GS last week. However, it looks like I just made it a lot worse: now whenever I try to play a game, it freezes dead about 30 seconds in. I'm using the latest drivers for the card. Any ideas as to what's going on?
Well, seeing as how ATi and nVidia cards don't always go well together, it could be a case of leftover driver conflict. Make sure that you uninstalled the Radeon card properly, removing all the accompanying drivers, before you installed the new GeForce. I'd try googling for "ATi driver removal tool".
