Here's the deal: I have this used Gamecube that I got on an auction, and it works normally, except for this one small thing: It won't start with the controller plugged in! Actually, it does start but only momentarily, and shuts off immediately after. If I start it up without any controllers plugged in, it all goes OK, and I can add the controllers normally again and play. It's annoying as hell, though. Is this a known issue? Anything I can do to change it?

What kind of controller came with the console? Is it the default Nintendo controller, or a 3rd party one? I've found that some consoles, namely PS, tend to raise all sorts of problems if they're used with controllers other than the official ones. Maybe that's the case with your GC as well?
