What do you think about dual core chip processors? What is their future like? I still have an old processor using older technology, as well as motherboard that does not support dual core CPU. Shall i switch to Dual Core or shall I wait a bit longer? I just wanted to hear some other opinion, other than my friend who thinks I should switch to dual core right now.

I do not know how to advise you, what shall I suggest you to do. The thing is, I would not advise you to switch to anything if you will not even notice the difference. I am still using a CPU that works at 1.3, and a very old motherboard, and I am working with PC for living. So, if you are not doing some rendering, or playing games that are demanding, you have no reason to switch to dual core. I think that technology will continue to develop further, but it is not the reason why you should follow it. As long as you do not really need something more, there is no reason to switch to anything.
