Hello. I have an old computer. I was cleaning computer case and fans and, naturally, disconnected everything from computer (keyboard, mouse etc.). When I finished this I have powered up computer and found out that I forgot to connect keyboard so I plugged it in while computer was turned on. Unfortunately my keyboard is not working any more. Is it possible that keyboard controller is fried because of this?

Hi. Connecting keyboard while computer is turned on does not usually make any problems but with old computer it is possible (although highly unlikely) to fry keyboard controller. Generally speaking, rule of the thumb is to connect only USB devices while computer is turned on. Anything else can cause undesirable results. If keyboard controller is fried you will have to buy new motherboard or just use USB keyboard.
