There are three computers in my office that came with Windows XP preinstalled. I own small business and I bought these computers recently. I need some office suite for every day work but I find that Microsoft Office is too expensive for me. Besides, I do not need many features in their software but only a simple spreadsheet and word processing application. Is there any free office software that will suit my needs?
There are several free office suits, especially on Linux. But you have Windows XP preinstalled on your computer so you will have to try Open Office 2. It is great office software and have almost all features as Microsoft Office (if we do not take in account some advanced features of MS Office which majority of users do not know or use after all). In Open office you will find word processing software, spreadsheet, presentation and other programs that make good office software. It can save documents in MS office format so you will have no problems with compatibility.
