I got a Compaq notebook last month. They also installed me an ADSL Internet connection. My brother installed me software for movie downloading. That software was BitTorrent. Everything worked fine at the beginning. Since yesterday, my Internet connection is too slow. Do you know any good antivirus and firewall that can help me?

I am almost completely certain that you have some sort of virus on your computer. Even more, I can guess that it is probably a virus from Downloader or Trojan category. Its job is to gain access to hard disk content on your computer to his owner. That is the common problem for Torrent users. I had to reinstall my operating system twice because of torrent using. However, at last I found out what is the cure and that cure is an answer to your question. The cure for that problem is combination of AVG and Seagate Personal firewall. First, use AVG from the Safe mode to clean all viruses from your computer. After that, install Seagate and I think you will be safe after that.
