Hi, all. I'm trying to get this old machine to work, and I thought I'd installed Win 98 properly. However, it still refuses to boot, so I tried booting from a (previously made) floppy boot disk. For some reason, I get a report of "Disk I/O Error, replace the disk, and press any key". I've tried the floppy on a different machine, and it works OK. Don't know what I could be missing here. Any suggestions?

What are your BIOS settings? I assume you entered the correct boot sequence, so it actually attempts to boot from the floppy. You should check again, it may be a CMOS battery issue that's bothering you. If that's not the case, you may just have a faulty floppy drive.
