Hey there. Do you know any firewall that works with Windows 98 or ME? I have an old configuration and as things now are financially I will not be able to buy new PC soon so I will have to stick to this one. So, I connected it to the Internet, but since I don’t have firewall installed, I know it is not secure. Can you please recommend me some firewall that will protect it?

Well, I used Zone Alarm as a firewall when I had Windows 98 installed on my PC. It is a perfect program, and I used it for a while even when I installed Windows XP. It will take you s little time to configure it right, because it will ask you to set a security level, and kind of behavior expected whenever something tries to access the internet from your PC. If you don’t configure it right, it might cause you some problems, so you should be careful and patient. If you combine this firewall with some good antivirus program, such as Kaspersky for example you wouldn’t have to worry about protection.
