This feature used to work perfectly, but since about two weeks ago I can't get Firefox to save any password I enter. It still prompts me to click "remember", "not now", "always for this site" and all that, but no matter what I choose, the next time I still have to reenter the data. This happens on various sites, not just Hotmail and other non-Ffx-friendly sites.

Which version of Firefox are you using? If it's an old one, just run the update. This problem used to come up now and then in some older versions, but since 2.0 came out this is the first I've heard of it.
In any case, there are old add-ons that worked around the problem in Firefox 1.xx, but I'm not sure if they'll work in 2.xx…
