Hello. My default browser is Mozilla Firefox and I am running Windows XP Professional operating system with Service Pack 2 installed. I have noticed few days ago that my browser slow to lunch. I am afraid that my system could be infected. So, can you tell me if I am right about this? Thank you.

Hello. This does not mean necessary that your system is infected, but, anyway, scan it. I think that you have installed too many add-ons (extensions) for your browser (for example: weathercast, etc) and that is why your browser needs time to start. You can try to remove some add-ons and see if I am right. If I am not right, contact me and I will try to help you.
