Is there some way to download the QT plugin for Firefox WITHOUT downloading the whole damn thing from Apple? They bundle it together with iTunes these days, and being on dial-up user (yeah, laugh it up) and also not wanting iTunes, I don't want to download the whole damn thing if I don't have to. So far I've not been able to find the standalone QT plugin, so if you could point me in the right direction, that'd be great.

I'm not sure how you're planning on using the browser plugin without the player itself… the plugin just embeds the player with the browser so the next time you open a page with a MOV video file, Firefox can display it. Anyway, you needn't download QuickTime form Apple; just get Quick Time Alternative, it's smaller and less sneaky, and comes with all the plugins you might need. Though 13 MB may still be heavy on the dialup connection…
