I usually open wmv files with windows media player (well, duh). But the problem is, when a wmv file is embedded in a web page, I can't get Firefox to play it. It seems not to be integrated with WMP … which is no surprise, I guess, but still. Do I really have to copy/paste a page link into IE every time I want to view a wmv file, or is there some other way out of this?

Um, don't get me wrong but … why in the world would you use version 1.5? That's so very much behind that I doubt you'll be able to get any help, or official support. If you don't count "you should update to 2.0" advice as help/support, that is. As for the answer to your question, you need a wma plugin. You can find it at mozilla.org.
