I'm having trouble playing .wmv video in Firefox. Well, I not actually playing, more like opening or linking to them. In Internet Explorer, they open up and play fine. In Firefox, with all the plugins installed, it just won't open. On some sites, it opens some sort of a garbled text file instead. I don't think this was the case with earlier versions, was it? Any solutions available yet?

I don't have this problem, and although I'm using 1.5.0.6, I don't think I had it before either. I assume it's some sort of a file type association conflict between media players – what do you have installed? Try running WMP (or whatever you prefer using to play your .wmv files) and resetting the file association manually. If you have QuickTime as well, it might try hijacking the type again, so you may have to tweak QT's configuration as well.
