Is it a good idea, generally speaking, for including multiple PCs and Macs in the same network? What are its advantages (FireWire's, I mean) over the generic Ethernet connection? Also, I heard some rumors that Windows Vista will not be providing any FireWire support at all, does this have any truth in it? I'm planning ahead, you understand Smile

In answer to the last question, yes. Here's an article that elaborates further: http://osoft.com/whdc/system/bus/1394/IP_1394.mspx
Other than that, I honestly don't know why you would consider FireWire support an important factor. Isn't it next to obsolete - not in quality, but in (expected) availability?
