Hi, I'm a new user of the Firefox browser, and I'm generally pleased with how it's been performing, I just have a few minor annoyances. One of them is the fact that on some sites I can't get it to remember my username and password, so I have to log back in each time I visit. On some other sites, however, it keeps the login perfectly. Am I doing something wrong here, or is this just some security feature of the sites in question?

Well, I suppose it could be that a site isn't sending you the cookies Firefox is expecting, but I highly doubt it. It's more probable that you (or somebody else) accidentally checked "never for this site" when you were prompted on whether or not Ffx should remember the login. You can check this by going into the Tool menu, selecting Options, and then Security. In the password field, you should see an "Exceptions" button. Clicking it should show you an editable list of sites for which Firefox is set NOT to remember the login details.
