| Hello. I have finally got connected to the internet with so long awaited ADSL router/modem. I have followed the detailed instructions about connecting and establishing the connection, and woilla!! I made no mistake, in fact it was much easier than I was thinking. It seems that everything is completely automatic. And because of so called dynamic IP addressing ( I used to read something about that ), how can I find out which IP address is my router using in the background? Thanks in advance. |

| Hello. Did you saw those two monitors near the clock? You can use left-click on the icon, and after that check the support tab, near the general one. There you can see the LAN IP address, assigned by the DHCP. That is the local area network address. If you want to see the real IP address or WAN (Wide Area Network) than you must go inside the router it self. Get back on the support tab, and pay attention what is the Default Gateway of the connection. It is 192.168.1.1 usually. Well, you can type that inside your web browser address bar. That will lead you to the hidden settings of the router you have. Inside you will see all information youll ever need. But please, just read inside. Dont edit any settings there. |
