File sharing with friends PC

Hello! I am living in the building and my friend has apartment next to mine. We are wondering is there any way for file sharing between ours computer. If there is, please tell us what we need to do to make it possible. This is very important to us and we will be appreciating any help you can provide.

Hello! I think that the easiest way for file sharing is local area network. I will explain you this; I think that it would be best if you network your computers (through router would be really the best way) and, then, you can easily share files, folders, devices, etc. You can even share internet connection on this way.
