File sharing problems between two computers through router

Hello! I have small home network. I have only two connected computers through router. Guy whom made network said that he shared all devices and important folders. Well, I think that I have problem now and I cannot reach him. Namely, I cannot access a folder on the other computer. I get error message which says that access is denied. Help!

Hello! That is not error message. That folder is not shared, so, that is why you get error message. You need to share it. To do that, do following: right click on that folder; then click on Sharing and Security; after that click on Sharing tab and, at the end, check Share this folder on the network. You will be able to access that folder in the future.
