When trying to send a file through MSN Messenger's MSNFTP service, I keep getting denied. The error message I get is 510 – file operation failed. I have no idea what it means by that, and I wasn't even sure if the problem is on my end of the connection or the other party's, but she says she can transfer files w/other users, so I guess something's wrong over here. Any idea on what's going on?

I'm not really a MSNM user myself, but I found a site that could help you. Go to hypothetic.org, and read through their documentation. Items of particular interest to you would be File Transfer (in the Client section of the left-hand frame) and Error List (under Reference). It's also interesting that the latter lists the 510 error as "never encountered before"…
