Hello! I have weird problem with my dvd burner. It is capable to read and burn cds, but it cannot recognize any dvd. I tried different brands, but with no success. In device manager is recognized like dvd burner. I tried to update driver, but with it was not useful. I hope that you will know what to do. Thanks!

Hello! Your dvd burner became corrupted. I assume that its head is broken. There is no way for repair except to take it to some tech service. This is generally problem with dvd burners. You did not tell me what brand is yours, but I have same problem with my NEC. Repairing dont cost much.
