| Hey you! Last night there was major discussion on Internet browser’s matter. Oh, what geeks you might say ..lol. But really there was big crowd still going for IE and on the other side Firefox fans. Me, actually indecisive on that matter I think bought have some flaws. So is there any difference, is Firefox safer then IE? |

| Hello and huh..lol. Actually I was just like you on that matter and must admit 'till I haven’t started this loads of searching and typing job I haven’t been using Firefox at all. Even I was so called “IE person” and was booed by many people from my surrounding on that matter, now I become all “Firefox using” person for obvious reason: got sick of closing and opening the IE windows, and having it all divided by tabs in one window makes my work done much faster. But on the other hand I noticed when I run some malwares clean up with Spybot- search and destroy, I am seeing some stuffs appearing and reappearing all the time that have tracking cookie Firefox signature like Double click, Mediaplex , Statcounter, Avenue A. inc., etc..and must say me don’t like that fact . And as I see even the Firefox installation was all saying no spam attached ..yeah right, something slipped here and there. If you listen to Symantec they claim that IE is safer and that Firefox is more vulnerable, having 25 flaws in just past 6month and that 18 of them are in group of severe ones, which means that someone can easily take advantage of them for some attack. On the other hand for the IE the number of flaws is 13 ( maybe lucky one in this case) and only 8 severe ones. There is a question how many of them are really acknowledged by producers cause they are the only ones that count. On that matter IE leads with 19 against Firefox’s pitiful 3 flaws. And the real mystery is that Symantec is admitting that those sever flaws were only exploited on IE browser. The other thing that goes as advantage for Firefox side is no pop ups, well I haven’t saw any of them so far. In this security matter, in my humble opinion it is hard to take one side. I think looking at reviews IE is now becoming a safer one cause I guess Firefox became more interesting target and challenge for attacks, every day more and more people using it, while in the past was kind of outsider comparing with IE publicity and capacity of users. And what I learned so far no one’s is safe on the Internet !! |
