I’ve just recently installed wireless net. While I was getting info on it, I read about this ‘wardriving’. I still don’t understand well how that can harm me but it sounds like it’s really easy for people to get into my computer and use it without my approval. And I think that I should protect from it. Does anyone here know what is the best way to protect from wardriving attacks? Thanks!

I think that most of the people confuse wardriving with piggybacking. Wardriving software only takes control of the wireless radio while piggybacking is connecting to a network without explicit authorization and it’s more dangerous. Anyway, there is something called RADIUS that is good when it comes to protection from wardriving and you can find more info on it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RADIUS . However, it’s only compatible with some routers and specific firmware.
