Or just not formatted properly, I guess. I'm not really an expert on hard drives. The way I understand, it can be formatted in FAT32, or in NTFS. One is for PC (or is it Mac?), and the other is for both, right? Now, I think my external HD is recognized on both my PC and my iMac, but the problem is I can't copy any files form the PC to the Mac whatsoever! Is this because of the formatting? Should I take it back to the store?

Um, as far as I know, there's no such thing as PC-only or Mac-only formatting. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong.) NTFS drives will work on both computers, equally well (in theory). FAT32 drives, however, are read-only on Macs (again, AFAIK), so that's probably the one you have. If you take it back to the store, they should be able to reformat it for you.
