External USB hard drive not accessible on network

When I try to access an external USB HD over a LAN, this is what I get: [quote]\\xxx-optiplex\Esternal Drive is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions. Not enough server storage is available to process this command. [/quote] The network otherwise works OK. Any suggestions?

You'll need to edit the registry to set the IRPStackSize to a certain value - try anything from 11 to 50, see what works. To do this, go the Run menu, type "regedit" without the quotes, and once ion the Registry Editor, go to this address: Start, Run, REGEDIT - Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\lanmanserver\parameters Then edit IRPStackSize and its DWORD value like I stated above.
