Hello. I was wondering if someone could help me with the following situation: Each time I try to access client permissions for public folders using ESM, I fail. The error message I receive is this: "The information store could not be opened. The logon to the Microsoft Exchange Server computer failed." I initially thought the public db got corrupted somehow, but when I tried accessing it through Outlook, I could manage just fine. So what's wrong with E2K3 then?

What's wrong is, according to Microsoft, that you have both Exchange and Outlook installed on the same machine. This apparently causes Mapi mis-matching of some kind, and as such, is not recommended. A guy mentioned that there's a workaround (read: registry hack) of some kind, though that's not recommended either because it screws up the way Outlook works in return.
