Excel files not being recognised by Microsoft Office

I am in big trouble and need urgent help! I have taken from my friend questions for tomorrows exam. Questions are saved in excel. But when I copied them from usb stick to my computer, my excel couldnt open them and didnt recognize them. I use MS Office 2003 and my friend MS Office 2007.

Your friend saved that files for excel 2007 only. That is new version of excel, and older version are not able to open its files. Call your friend or go to him, and when he open your exam questions save them as excel document for 97-2003 excel. After that, you will able to open them with your excel 2003.
