| Hi there. Today I subscribed for the ADSL internet. I just cant wait for the ADSL modem to arrive. My internet service provider has an obligation to deliver the hardware modem as splitter, too. Now I heard for splitter term, but I dont know how does it looks like or what does splitter do. Is it big? Thanks in advance. |

| Hello. No, no it is not big at all. Every single modem/router must receive telephone signal trough the splitter, otherwise it cannot work. It is very small piece of hardware. Like a box of matches. The phone line cable goes into the splitter, and than it is compressed inside, than goes out from the other side in two ways. As data out and phone output signal. Data out goes into router and the other to the phone. I think you can figure out everything else by your self now. |
