I am having problems with Ethernet card on Fedora Linux. I have 3Com network card and I have loaded proper module. Upon next boot I sow an error saying that Ethernet card could not be initialized. I have checked and module for network card did not load with Fedora. Do you have some information about this problem?
This is a known problem with some network cards and earlier versions of Fedora. You will have to issue a few commands in shell to get your network card up and going. When you boot in Fedora open terminal and execute following commands: "chkconfig kudzu off" and after this one "chmod -x /sbin/mii-tool". Reboot the computer and your Ethernet card problems will be history.
