Hey there! I have a problem when I try to watch movie trailers. I keep on getting some error message saying that ‘an unknown error occurred’. I can only hear the sound but there is no picture at all. I have the latest Quicktime installed and I’m using Firefox as my browser. Do you think it’s just that Quicktime isn’t compatible with Firefox? Or could I make this work somehow? Thanks!

I’m not sure about this since I was using Explorer at the time, but I’ll tell you how I fixed the same problem when I had it. I found out after a thorough search that this is a DirectDraw problem. First of all, you need to have the latest drivers for your graphic card. If this doesn’t solve the problem itself, you should disable hardware acceleration. It will affect the performance level however. The other option would be to install a QuickTime alternative which works quite fine – at least that’s what I’ve heard.
