I heard this Error Guard thing was spyware of some kind, and it turns out I have it installed on my system. It's right there in the add/remove programs box, I didn't even have to do a scan or nothing (and I don't really know how, either). The thing is, when I click it and then the Remove button, the computer says something like "I can't remove it because it can't be found." (not exactly like that, but that's its point, I think). So how do I remove this thing then? The computer's been running OK, with no problems, but I just want to be on the safe side. TIA.

Generally, most spyware programs are not removed by simple de-installation. You'll have to download a cleaning utility such as Spybot, or perhaps HijackThis – you can find both as free web downlo9ads, just do a google search. Install either or both of them, run scans, and follow instructions to get rid of all the malware that may be hiding within your system, most likely including Error Guard.
