I want to edit certain MP3 files. I’m throwing a party and I’d like to clip some of the songs and add some special sound effects etc. Can you tell me how to do that, since I have no idea? I once downloaded certain sound processing software and I couldn’t even clip a song which is supposed to be like the simplest operation.

It depends on which software you used. Some of the professional programs can be pretty complicated and not at all user friendly. You can download some of the free programs which are created for amateur and home use and try them out. There is a help menu in each of them and you can start from the basic things. I even think that Windows Media Players has some basic tools that can be used to edit MP3s. Check it out and see if you can use it. Something like that would be perfect for you since it’s not a professional program and there is a very good help menu. Finally, if you don’t understand something, you can visit Microsoft site and ask for help.
