Hey you! Hello! I think I am being stuck in some kind of Twilight time zone. When I reboot my PC I get ERROR 0271 : Check date and time settings . And most important, after that is messing up my keyboard which was, before the message appearance, working just fine. I am guessing BIOS needs a new set up, but I can’t approach it . So what should I do?

I guess people can live with wrong date and time but working without keyboard can be tricky, or impossible to be exact. Try to low your PC power down, meaning shutting the system and unplugging it or taking the battery out for 5 minutes. Replace battery, power on and see will it work. That action will reset BIOS to default. Complicated part comes if you have to replace your CMOS backup battery (which is component that is saving all your settings while the computer is not working). You can also try to enter the BIOS setup before the error message appears. Cause the keyboard check is coming before date / time check, which allows you to hold down a key and in that way force the keyboard error, and then get the chance to enter the BIOS setup and after that adjust the date and time. Not sure could the CMOS date/time can be changed with OS time/date option. If you succeed to get in BIOS setup and can get into OS one, give that action a try ( changing date/ time in OS option) and maybe that will change it in your CMOS also. What can I say then good luck with your twilight time zone!
