Dual Core Processor or Dual Single Processors

I have a computer for last few years. Now I manage to save some money and I want to buy a new stronger computer. I tried to find out in computer magazines some advice about what computer to choose. However, I couldn't manage to understand the differences between dual core processor and dual single processor. Which is better?

Dual single processors are older standard and nowadays it is almost abandon. That technology was replaced by Dual core technology. Dual core technology means that you have two cores in one processor. That way processor could get almost the same strength as dual single processor and for much less price. If I were you, I would most certainly decide to Dual core processor because it is new technology and, as any new technology on the market, you could find spare parts for a long time.
